The Health Minister Veena George announced that the government will develop an action plan to improve healthcare for people living in tribal settlements in the State. A standard operating procedure will be created to coordinate and implement tribal health projects by various departments. The plan will address issues such as malnourishment, sickle cell disease, lifestyle diseases, mental health issues, and substance abuse. The Health department is working on upgrading hospitals in tribal areas, implementing special plans for specific regions, and providing delivery care facilities. A workshop was held to discuss healthcare challenges in tribal and coastal areas and ensure that all tribal settlements benefit from these projects.
