The Ranchi Police recovered ₹1.14 crore in cash from G.D. Goenka school, suspected to be used for influencing the ongoing Assembly elections. The money was found in the vice-principal’s office after a tip-off. The police conducted raids in the presence of senior officials and found the cash along with foreign liquor. The school owner, Madan Singh, has been detained for questioning and is believed to be associated with a political party. The Income Tax Department was informed about the raids, and further investigation is ongoing.
