A police officer and a suspected shooter were injured after gunfire erupted at a building in Midtown Atlanta. The officer’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and the suspect was also hospitalized. The suspect fired from the 33rd floor balcony using multiple weapons. Police responded to a dispute between the suspect and a Four Seasons worker. The suspect was eventually taken into custody after a stand-off and the building was evacuated. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will investigate the officers’ response. The shelter-in-place order was lifted, and the investigation continues. The building houses a Four Seasons hotel, residences, and office space.
