Vyttila set to witness major traffic reforms after Edappally

The Motor Vehicles department and Traffic police have been working together to reduce traffic congestion in various junctions in Ernakulam. Reforms have been implemented at Kalamassery and Edappally, resulting in fewer conflict points and shorter waiting times at traffic signals. Similar reforms are planned for Vyttila, with buses and vehicles being able to access Kaniampuzha Road directly. Efforts are also being made to decongest junctions in Angamaly, Aluva, and North Paravur. The MVD is conducting safety audits to address road issues and has mandated annual fitness tests for public transport buses. Plans are also in place to decongest Vyttila further with the cooperation of the NHAI. Citizens can report traffic violations through the Citizen Sentinel facility and receive e-challans for offenders.
