Opposition members walk out of panel meeting protesting changes made by board

Opposition MPs walked out of a meeting on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, claiming changes were made without Delhi government’s knowledge. They protested against the presentation made by the Delhi Waqf board, alleging alterations were made without approval. After initially walking out, the MPs rejoined the meeting later. The committee called representatives from different Waqf boards and other organizations to record their views on the Bill. The committee will meet again on October 29 to hear from the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
