The Hyderabad City Commissioner of Police has imposed Section 144 for a month starting October 27 to prevent disruptions to public peace and order caused by parties and organizations holding protests and dharnas in the city. The order prohibits gatherings of five or more people, processions, rallies, public meetings, and any activities that may disturb public peace. Only peaceful dharnas and protests are allowed at Indira Park Dharna Chowk, and any other protests in Hyderabad and Secunderabad are not permitted. Violators will face prosecution under the law.
