IUM flays Pinarayi for his statement linking it with communal forces

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) criticized Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for linking the party with communal outfits, saying he is trying to divide communities for political gain. The IUML denied having an alliance with groups like the SDPI and Jamat-e-Islami, and accused the ruling CPI(M) of engaging in “dirty politics” to create divisions in society. They also pointed out that the CPI(M) had received support from Jamat-e-Islami in previous elections. IUML dismissed the Chief Minister’s allegations as false and stated that they do not consider Jamat-e-Islami a terrorist group, as evidenced by the UDF accepting their support in the 2019 election.
