The Japan Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ship JS Murasame departed Kochi after a two-day visit, receiving a warm welcome from the Indian Naval band. Commander Hayakawa Masahiro met with Commodore Sritanu Guru to discuss mutual maritime issues. Japanese personnel toured an Indian Naval ship while Indian counterparts visited the JS Murasame, enhancing interoperability and sharing best practices. The Indian Navy and JMSDF have a strong collaboration on various fronts, including naval exercises. This visit strengthens the bond between the two navies and promotes cooperation in the maritime domain.
