Finance minister reports positive meetings with stakeholders in US

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb recently visited the United States for meetings with various stakeholders, including international finance institutions and rating agencies. The meetings were positive, with stakeholders praising Pakistan for reducing inflation and expressing willingness to invest in the country. The World Bank will provide a grant to Pakistan instead of a loan, and the government aims to avoid taking another loan from the IMF. The finance minister discussed efforts to improve the economy, including abolishing the term of non-filer and increasing the tax-to-GDP ratio. Additionally, plans for privatising electricity distribution companies and launching a Panda bond in the Chinese market were discussed. Overall, the meetings were productive, with a focus on economic stability and growth.
