NIA suspects ‘sabotage’ in recent train derailments; begins probe

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is looking into possible sabotage angles in recent train derailments and accidents, with at least four cases under investigation. There have been instances of items like gas cylinders, cement sleepers, and boulders being placed on railway tracks, indicating deliberate attempts to damage railway properties and harm passengers. While nothing concrete has been found to suggest sabotage so far, incidents like a goods train hitting a cement sleeper and an empty gas cylinder found on tracks have raised concerns. The railway administration, including the NIA, is working to prevent potential sabotage attempts and ensure passenger safety.
