South Carolina baseball will now be played at “Ray Tanner Field” in honor of the former coach and outgoing athletic director. The school announced the naming, which will start with the 2025 season. The stadium will still be called Founders Park. A group of athletic donors contributed $2.5 million to name the field after Tanner, who led the team to two College World Series wins. Tanner expressed gratitude for the gesture and a dedication ceremony will take place in February when the baseball season opens.
