Two police officers from the Panniyankara station are facing disciplinary action for allegedly manhandling two complainants who had filed a petition with them. Sub inspector Subhash and senior civil police officer Padmarajan were asked to undergo rigorous training for a week at the district headquarters of the Kozhikode City police. The incident occurred on October 7 when the complainants reported a motor vehicle accident. The officers allegedly ill-treated them and physically assaulted them when they tried to capture the incident on camera. The officers will be transferred to other stations after completing their punishment training.
