Maharashtra Polls: NCP (SP) Names 22 More Candidates, Shiv Sena (UBT) Fields 3



The NCP-SP and Shiv Sena-UBT have announced more candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly polls, with a total of 67 contenders so far. The NCP-SP has fielded bigwigs, sitting MLAs, and defectors from other parties, while the Shiv Sena-UBT has named three candidates from Mumbai. The Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance is finalizing its candidate lists, with a tentative formula for seat distribution among the main constituents. Smaller allies have been given an ultimatum to allocate constituencies or they will contest solo on winnable seats. The deadline for filing nominations is approaching, causing anxiety among parties and candidates.
