TD begins membership drive



The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) started its membership drive in Amaravati, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and TDP Andhra Pradesh unit president Palla Srinivasa Rao becoming members. Naidu mentioned that TDP membership is a mark of recognition and respect in society and emphasized the party’s encouragement of youth involvement in politics. TDP members are eligible for a health insurance cover of up to Rs 5 lakh. Membership costs Rs 100, with Naidu reminiscing that it was only Rs 1 when the party was first formed.
