Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed his condolences on the passing of Gussadi folk dance master Kanaka Raju, also known as Gussadi Raju. Kanaka Raju, who passed away at the age of 84 due to age-related issues, was a renowned dancer who popularized the Gussadi dance form. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2021 for his contributions to the art form. Kanaka Raju’s final rites will be performed in his native village of Marlawai. He is survived by his wife and children. His legacy as a fearless and talented dancer will always be remembered.
