Climate groups working to mobilize early voters and track new climate voters in battlefield states

In Philadelphia, climate-conscious canvassers, many of them over 60, are working to mobilize voters on the issue of climate change in the upcoming election. Groups like Third Act and the Environmental Voter Project are targeting low-propensity climate voters who have not been voting in previous elections. Through predictive modeling and data analytics, these groups have identified millions of climate-focused registered voters and are working to get them to the polls. Early voting returns show that climate voters are turning out at higher rates than the general electorate in battleground states like Arizona and Pennsylvania. The goal is to have an impact on the margins in a closely contested election and push climate-friendly candidates to victory. Older activists like Bill McKibben are also working to encourage climate-concerned voters to participate in the election, emphasizing the importance of their voices in shaping the future for the generations to come.
