Mini has revealed the new John Cooper Works hatchback and convertible, which are high-performance models based on the Mini Cooper. The John Cooper Works versions are more powerful, featuring a 2.0-litre turbo engine tuned to 230 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. The exterior of the JCW models has been enhanced with blacked-out grille, unique JCW Daytime Running Lamp, rear spoiler, diffuser, and exhaust system. The interior gets a red and black theme with sports seats and a new sports steering wheel. The JCW hatchback has a top speed of 250 kmph and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds, while the convertible version has a top speed of 245 kmph and takes 6.4 seconds to reach 100 kmph.
