Nepra has announced a Rs3.03 per unit hike in electricity charges for K-Electric consumers for July 2024. This increase will be reflected in December 2024 bills. The new rates will apply to all consumers except for specific categories. This decision comes after a previous request by KE for a higher tariff hike was approved. Nepra also recently announced a refund for consumers who paid higher rates in August. CPPA had requested a decrease in tariff for the same period, which has now been approved by Nepra. These changes will not apply to certain categories of consumers.
