Nine candidates file nominations for Dholai by-elections

The filing of nominations for the by-election to Dholai Legislative Assembly Constituency in Cachar has ended, with a total of nine candidates submitting their papers. The scrutiny of the nominations will take place on October 28, and withdrawals can be made until October 30. The candidates include representatives from various political parties as well as independent candidates. A total of 1,97,642 voters will cast their votes on November 13, with a breakdown of male, female, and transgender voters provided. Additionally, there are voters above 85 years of age and service electors in the constituency. The polling will take place across 208 polling stations in four zones.
