ASOM alliance pushes forward without Congress, Ajit Bhuyan new president



Members of the Asom Sonmilito Morcha (ASOM) have decided to continue their fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a fallout with the Congress party. They have introduced new leadership and are focused on eradicating the BJP from Assam. Despite the Congress breaking away from the alliance, ASOM remains determined to challenge the BJP in the upcoming elections. ASOM chief Lurinjyoti Gogoi criticized the Congress for their actions, accusing them of betrayal. The alliance is yet to decide whether to contest the upcoming by-polls in Assam. Overall, ASOM is united in their goal to oppose the BJP, even without Congress in their ranks.
