‘Consensus On Patrolling, Grazing’: Rajnath Singh On India-China Border Agreement



Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced that India and China have made progress in resolving their border dispute in Ladakh through talks at diplomatic and military levels. They have reached a consensus on patrolling and grazing in traditional areas along the Line of Actual Control. This agreement was described as a significant development at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2024. Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping endorsed the agreement, signaling efforts to normalize ties. Singh also emphasized India’s commitment to self-reliance in defense and assured that it is not a move towards alienation but rather a step towards collaboration and partnership with the global community.
