Oregon State, Washington State to play each other twice in 2025

Oregon State and Washington State have announced that they will play each other twice in the 2025 college football season. This decision was made due to both schools operating as quasi-independents before the Pac-12 expands in 2026, making it easier for them to fill their schedules. Oregon State will host the first game on November 1st, with Washington State hosting the second game on November 29th. This unusual decision came after talks to extend a scheduling agreement with the Mountain West broke down. The announcement was part of Oregon State’s full schedule release, which includes seven home games in 2025. The Beavers and Cougars have a long history of playing each other almost annually since 1903, and have played twice in a season once before in 1945.
