Men’s Bracketology: The numbers show it, Kansas is the best program in modern college basketball

ESPN’s Bracketology efforts focus on predicting the NCAA tournament field using the same criteria as the selection committee. The 68-team bracket is the standard format, but there may be adjustments for the 2021 tournament, such as playing all games at one site. A 48-team bracket would reduce the field by 10 at-large and automatic qualifier teams. A 16-team bracket would feature the top 16 teams selected by the committee, with no automatic qualifiers. Geography and conference balance are considered in all bracket scenarios.
