The Mumbai traffic police received an apology from a mobile phone number that had sent a threat demanding Rs 5 crore from Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The apology was sent via WhatsApp to the traffic police’s helpline. The initial threat was received on Thursday, leading to a case being registered for threat and extortion. Salman Khan had previously received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who also opened fire outside his home. The Navi Mumbai police recently uncovered a plot by the Bishnoi gang to kill Khan.
