ED Raids Former AIADMK Minister Vaithiyalingam in Money Laundering Investigation | Chennai News



The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted raids in Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, targeting former AIADMK minister Vaithiyalingam and others. Vaithyalingam is accused of accepting bribes while serving as Minister for Housing and Urban Development between 2011 and 2016. The raids were conducted after the Department of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption registered a case against him and others for allegedly accepting bribes. It is alleged that Shriram Properties and Infrastructure Pvt Ltd paid Rs. 27.9 crore to the former minister for obtaining planning approval for a construction project in Chennai.
