The minister stated that police action will be taken against Irfan, as it is a violation of national medical laws for a non-medical person to perform such a procedure. Legal notices have been issued, complaints lodged, and requests made to suspend the doctor’s medical license at the private hospital where the incident took place. Subramanian made it clear that political background will not influence the proceedings, and despite any past apologies from Irfan, serious action will be taken by the Health Department.
