The 18th Book Festival, hosted by the District Library Council, is scheduled to take place from October 25 to 28 at the Kannur collectorate grounds. The event will kick off with the inauguration of the K. Balakrishnan Master Nagar by Higher Education Minister Dr. R. Bindu, with special guests including writer T. Padmanabhan and other dignitaries. The festival will include cultural programmes, tribute to late writer Thayat Sankaran, performances by various groups, storytelling sessions, book releases, and more. Over 70 publishers and 1,200 libraries will participate in the festival, showcasing literary and cultural programs. Minister Kadanappally Ramachandran will inaugurate the concluding session, with writer M. Mukundan in attendance.
