8-foot Python rscued from Hyderabad’s Osmansagar Reservoir by snake rescue team | Hyderabad News

An eight-foot Indian rock python was rescued from the crust gate of the Osmansagar Reservoir in Hyderabad by HMWSSB staff and the Friends of Snakes Society (FOS). The 20-kilogram python was entangled at the gate, posing a challenge due to its size and location. FOS member Dakarapu Vara Prasad descended to the gate to rescue the snake, but faced difficulty as the python wrapped around his hand. With teamwork, he was safely brought up along with the python. The python was then handed over to Nehru Zoo authorities for care and release into the wild. The risky operation was successful thanks to quick thinking and cooperation.
