A 22-year-old man named Arpit stopped communicating with a girl he liked due to threats from her family. Despite informing the girl’s family that communication would cease, they believed he was still in touch and ultimately lynched him. Arpit was attacked by a group of people outside his home and later died in the hospital. He had been supporting his family financially after his father’s death and worked at an internet cable networking shop. The police have arrested three people in connection with the case, including the girl’s brother and cousin.
