No democracy without media, says judge



At the 60th State meet of the Kerala Union of Working Journalists, Kerala High Court judge Devan Ramachandran emphasized the crucial role of media in upholding democracy. He stated that media act as the opposition and should listen to society to reveal the truth, even in the face of opposition from those with vested interests. Justice Ramachandran also noted the importance of regulating social media, although he acknowledged that it may be challenging. Overall, he highlighted the significance of media in ensuring a democratic society.
