Dhofar Governorate welcomes ‘Sarb’ season

The Sarb season has arrived in Dhofar Governorate, bringing with it a transition from the humid weather of the khareef season to a more moderate climate. This season has a positive impact on the local economy, with increased tourism and agricultural activity. Farmers, fishermen, and livestock breeders benefit from the seasonal harvest and the abundance of surface and bottom fish. Camel owners also participate in the spring grazing tradition, moving their camels to lush pastures in the mountains. Tourists flock to the picturesque mountainous areas during this time, enjoying the natural beauty and moderate climate. The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has organized various events and activities to promote tourism in the region, including photography forums and sporting events like the Ironman 70.3 and Salalah Half Marathon. The Dhofar Municipality is also planning cultural events such as the International Theater Festival.
