The contract for the construction was awarded for less than the sanctioned amount, but the final cost ended up being significantly higher. Many files related to the construction are missing, raising suspicions about the involvement of certain officers. There are also concerns about the quality of construction, with leakages in the buildings and issues with electrical and plumbing systems. The CM has ordered a probe into similar cost escalation issues with a superspeciality hospital in Warangal.
