NHAI to be told to exempt Maradu residents from toll at Kumbalam plaza

The Kundannoor bridge in Kochi is closed for resurfacing, causing heavy traffic congestion on the roads leading to the city. To ease the burden on residents of Maradu, they will be temporarily exempt from paying toll at the nearby toll plaza. The closure of the bridge has forced commuters to take longer routes, leading to increased traffic at the toll plaza. Authorities are working to speed up the resurfacing work and deploy more police personnel to manage the congestion. Residents can avail exemption from toll by showing their address proof at the toll plaza.
