Will respect party’s decision, says bypoll ticket aspirant Yogeshwar

C.P. Yogeshwar, a BJP leader, had initially expressed interest in running for the Assembly bypolls in Channapatna but later softened his stance, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the victory of the NDA candidate. He stated that the decision of central leaders and allies would be final and that he would abide by it. There were speculations about him considering contesting from another party if not given a chance, but he clarified that there was no room for distrust. The choice of candidate for Channapatna has become a tricky issue, with JD(S) leaders also involved in the decision-making process. In the meantime, the Congress mentioned that they would field a “good candidate and a surprise candidate” for the constituency.
