A senior official from India’s RAW has been accused of plotting to assassinate a Sikh American separatist during PM Modi’s visit to the US. The official, Vikas Yadav, is no longer a government employee and is currently a fugitive. His alleged co-conspirator, Nikhil Gupta, has been arrested and extradited to the US. The Indian government denies involvement and has launched an internal investigation. The US is satisfied with India’s cooperation.
