Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Chief Ministers’ Council in Chandigarh to discuss development issues, the Constitution’s ‘Amrit Mahotsav‘, and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Emergency. The meeting was attended by chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from the BJP-led NDA, along with Union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and JP Nadda. The BJP sees this meeting as a renewed attack on the Opposition parties, especially the Congress, following their win in the Haryana assembly polls. This is the first conclave of NDA chief ministers in many years, and they are gearing up for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
