‘Minimise Public Inconvenience’: Omar Abdullah Instructs J&K DGP To Avoid ‘Green Corridor’ For His Movements



Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah made a people-friendly gesture by directing the DGP to avoid creating a ‘green corridor’ for his movement to minimize inconvenience to the public. He also emphasized on avoiding aggressive gestures and minimizing the use of sirens. PM Modi congratulated Abdullah on his appointment and expressed support for J&K’s progress. Abdullah appointed Surinder Choudhary as the deputy chief minister to give proper representation to the Jammu division. He chaired a meeting with administrative secretaries following his oath-taking ceremony. This move aims to prioritize public service and minimize inconvenience to the people.
