Death of rabid dog triggers panic on Cusat campus



Stray dogs were found dead on the Cusat campus, with one confirmed to have died of rabies. Students suspected poisoning and demanded action to control the entry of stray dogs. Despite efforts to shift the dogs to a veterinary clinic, they died. Students of the School of Engineering went on strike seeking better infrastructure and measures to prevent stray dogs from entering the campus. The university is working with authorities to address the issue, including exploring the possibility of organizing a vaccination drive for the dogs.
