BIS celebrates World Standards Day

The Bureau of Indian Standards in Bengaluru celebrated World Standards Day with the theme of “Shared vision for a better world.” The importance of standards in various aspects of life was emphasized by the chief guest, Ramandeep Chowdhary. He highlighted how standards build trust between consumers, industry, and governments, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Sudhakar from ISRO spoke about the use of artificial intelligence in achieving sustainable development goals and the implementation of Indian standards in the space and defense sectors. Stakeholders and licensees were recognized for their contributions to promoting and adhering to standards.
