Unauthorised Colonies In Delhi Can Get Power Connections Without DDA Approval, CM Atishi

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi accused the BJP of harassing residents in unauthorised colonies and stated that power discoms have been directed to provide electricity connections without a ‘no objection certificate’ from the DDA. Residents in 1,731 unauthorised colonies will no longer need a DDA nod for power connections. At a press conference, Atishi highlighted grievances from various areas and emphasized that residents can apply for a meter and receive a connection within 15 days. The DDA issued orders for providing electricity connections in Land Pooling areas, urbanized villages, and MCD regularized colonies, streamlining the process. The Delhi government is committed to ensuring residents do not suffer despite the BJP’s attempts to create obstacles.
