Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas delivered a memorandum to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, urging immediate action to alleviate congestion on Civil Line Road caused by the Kochi metro’s Kakkanad extension. She highlighted the lack of proper planning before barricades were set up, leading to severe traffic jams in the area. The Thrikkakara Development Forum also presented a set of recommendations based on a study by NATPAC to address the traffic issues. The focus is on developing alternative roads to divert traffic and ease the flow of vehicles in the region, particularly to and from Infopark campus and other areas in Kakkanad.
