Two arrested on theft charge at Mavoor

The Medical College police in Kozhikode arrested Salu (Bullet Salu) and his helper Sufiyan from a KSRTC bus at Mavoor. Salu was wanted in over 100 theft cases, including a recent incident where he stole gold from a house. The police had been on the lookout for him for weeks. Salu had a method of marking dark houses in rural areas for theft in the early morning, after which he would flee on a bike. The police recovered around ₹7 lakh from the accused.
