The India Meteorological Department has issued alerts for October 15, 16, and 17, prompting the chief minister to declare a holiday for schools in certain districts. Private IT firms have also been advised to allow employees to work from home. The IMD has issued a red alert for nine districts on October 16, predicting extremely heavy rainfall in isolated areas.
