In Gandhinagar, a meeting of the Transgender Welfare Board was held for the first time since it was formed in 2019. The board, under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, is supposed to meet every six months, but this was the first meeting to take place. It’s good to see progress being made in supporting and empowering the transgender community, and hopefully, more meetings will be held regularly in the future to address their needs and concerns.
