Somerhalder is dedicated to parenting his children with wife Nikki Reed and is involved in sustainable living initiatives, including partnering with a farmer’s market for dogs. He expressed gratitude for his past experiences in acting but feels most at home on a farm, caring for animals. Somerhalder also served as an executive producer on a documentary about regenerative agriculture.
