Mother-son duo held for beating man to death in Idukki

A mother and son were arrested for the murder of a 43-year-old man in Idukki. The victim, Munthiringattu Jinesh, had broken a window at the suspects’ house after drinking. This led to a confrontation that turned physical, resulting in the victim sustaining fatal head injuries. The suspects fled the scene but later surrendered to the police. The victim was found unconscious and later died in the hospital. The families had a history of disputes, and the suspects were distant relatives of the victim. The body was handed over to relatives for the funeral, while the suspects were remanded to jail.
