The management of Sri Krishna Jewellers in Hyderabad reported to the police that 6 crore worth of gold ornaments were stolen from their store. They named five staff members, including the store manager, as suspects and claimed the manager has been missing since the incident. Family members of the main suspect also reported him missing. The theft was discovered during an internal audit when gold ornaments meant for delivery were found missing. A criminal case was registered at the Banjara Hills police station and later transferred to the Central Crime Station.
