Chennai Corporation to start sharing details about flood relief, rescue on helpline 1913: Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin



Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin announced that the Greater Chennai Corporation will provide information about relief centres, food supply, and flood volunteers on helpline 1913 during the Northeast monsoon. The call centre has been increased to 150 personnel working in four shifts to address civic issues. Residents are encouraged to download the ‘Tamil Nadu Alert’ app for rain-related information. The government is prepared for the forecasted 20 cm rain with measures in place to protect lives and property. Various initiatives such as clearing culverts, enlisting volunteers, and monitoring flood-prone areas have been implemented to ensure safety during the monsoon. Residents are urged to report incomplete drains and open drains to address civic issues effectively.
