Old Delhi turns Dasara capital as VVIPs turn up to lead fight of good versus evil

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other leaders attended Dasara events in Delhi, where effigies of the demon king Ravana were burned. The President and PM witnessed the burning at the Red Fort, while other leaders attended nearby celebrations. Heavy police presence was seen to manage the large crowds. Arvind Kejriwal also attended events in the city, praising the Delhi government’s efforts to benefit society. Traffic restrictions were imposed in various areas to accommodate the festivities. The leaders extended Vijayadashmi greetings on social media.
