The Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC) had a successful Onam season with sales worth ₹8 crore in the domestic market. They held meetings to set up outlets in all 14 districts, gaining 126 new agencies. Cooperative societies, factory outlets, and mobile units also marketed KSCDC products during the festival. This is the first time the KSCDC has seen such massive domestic sales during Onam. Big ice cream companies purchased nuts through e-tender, and products were sold at Lulu Mall’s marketing centres. The corporation also sold marigold flowers and delivered 4 lakh cashew nut packets for Onam kits. They plan to launch more initiatives to strengthen the domestic market.
